Sums with Clothespins

28/08/2014, 14:20

It is difficult for some children to do exercises involving addition and subtraction using a sheet of paper, especially if its not something they study often. It helps to train their skills of mental arithmetic using hand made items. Write down sums on bright strips of colored cardboard or colored notebook dividers. Then write the answers to sums on wooden clothespins. Cardboard counters with numbers can be used as well.
