Is it possible to impart a love of mathematics, but when should you start? It is possible and necessary to begin as soon as possible! Teaching a love of mathematics at early age will give your child a better chance of being inspired by it for a long time.

Foundation

Scientists consider mathematics fascinating to all children. The laws of mathematics seem obvious to most adults, but they charm small children. Even counting the quantity of items can be fun. Puzzles, games, and problems are necessary for the child to be inspired by mathematics.

Children start distinguishing numbers at the age of 3 years, and parents should concentrate on helping children learn about numbers before school. There are some simple early training methods for mathematics:

• Building units, blocks, and construction sets. These help develop spatial thinking which is the basis for understanding mathematics.
• Jigsaw, puzzles, a Rubik’s cube, and other things that require relocation, turning, or adjusting also help develop spatial thinking.
• Learn using mathematically interesting objects: numbers of houses, poles of fences, and regularities in nature.
• Read books with mathematical implications, such as, "Three pigs" or " Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs".
• Study the shape of objects by means of interesting tasks or printed activities.

Mathematics can be different

If children don't like mathematics lessons, show them mathematics in the real world. In this way they will experience mathematics in a way that fascinates them. Parents can try the following methods to impart a love and understanding of mathematics:

• At home, offer your children interesting tasks with mathematical components (counting, measuring, weighing).
• Play games to teach kids to think logically and spatially.
• Ask and direct children in their reasoning. Even in case of a false answer, help them see they are on the right track; help them to finish the task.
• Play checkers and chess.

Mathematics as part of your day

Mathematics need not be difficult or intensive. Mathematical tasks can be completed based on simple domestic things. For example, give the child a 5-liter jar and a 3-liter jar and ask him to measure exactly four liters of water, using only these two jars.

No fear to study Mathematics

Some parents have a fear or dislike of Mathematics caused by their own unpleasant experience. But the study of mathematics isn't very difficult. If you don't love mathematics, don't worry! Even if you hated mathematics in school, you have a chance to learn it again. Scientists say there is no such thing as a “mathematical person". Mathematics are for everyone
